• Initial terms of use

Account Creation

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must authenticate via a supported OAuth provider (Google, Microsoft)
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent quotas or restrictions

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms of Use, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the Platform.

Daily Adoption Quota

Users are limited to adopting a maximum of 12 ducks per day. This quota resets at midnight UTC and is designed to prevent abuse and ensure fair access for all users.

Duck Ownership

• You may adopt new ducks (bring them into JeeperLife)
• You may place ducks for others to find
• You may receive ducks that have been placed (with valid PIN)
• Duck journey history is public and visible to all users
• Your personal notes and duck names are private

PIN Security

Each duck has a 6-digit PIN printed on its tag. This PIN is required to receive a duck and proves physical possession. Do not share PINs publicly or attempt to claim ducks without physical tags.

Build Ownership

• You may create unlimited builds for vehicles you own or are planning
• You retain ownership of builds you create
• You may set visibility to public, unlisted, or private at any time
• You may delete your builds at any time

Public Builds

• Public builds appear in the community gallery and search
• Other users may view, favorite, rate, and fork your public builds
• Your display name is shown as the build owner
• Admins may feature quality public builds on the homepage

Build Forking

• You may fork any public build to use as a starting point
• Forked builds include attribution to the original creator
• You own your forked build and may modify it freely

Investment Data

• Price information you enter is for your personal tracking only
• We do not verify price accuracy or availability
• Investment totals are estimates based on data you provide
• We are not responsible for purchasing decisions based on this data

Build Export

• You may export builds for sharing on forums and social media
• Exported builds may include affiliate links to vendors
• You control whether prices and notes are included in exports

Ratings and Favorites

• You may rate public builds 1-5 stars (one rating per build)
• You may favorite public builds for easy access
• You cannot rate or favorite your own builds
• Ratings and favorites are anonymous to other users

Your Content

• You retain ownership of content you post (notes, names, etc.)
• You grant us a license to display and process your content
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content
• We may remove content that violates these Terms

Build Content

• You retain ownership of build names, descriptions, and notes
• By making a build public, you grant other users permission to view and fork it
• Parts data comes from our catalog; you license usage for your builds

Our Content

The JeeperLife logo, design, code, and trademarks are owned by JeeperLife and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our intellectual property without permission.

Service "As Is"

JeeperLife is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JeeperLife shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

Physical Duck Tags

JeeperLife is a digital duck tracking platform. We are not responsible for the physical duck tags, their quality, placement, or any incidents related to physical ducks in the real world.

Build and Investment Data

• Build information is user-generated and not verified
• Price and investment data may be inaccurate or outdated
• We do not guarantee part compatibility or fitment
• We are not responsible for purchasing decisions or vehicle modifications
• Featured builds are curated but not endorsed or verified

Affiliate Links

Parts in the catalog may include affiliate links to third-party vendors (Amazon, Quadratec, etc.). We may receive compensation for purchases made through these links. This does not affect your purchase price. We are not responsible for third-party products, pricing, or fulfillment.
